What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a collaborative therapy. It is most effective when a rapport of trust is established and the client follows the therapist’s instructions.

The Hypnotherapist will not simply do something magical or persuade the client to do anything that they do not want to.

The therapy process consists of getting the client to be open, in complete confidence, as to what their issue is. What is their preferred future? What does that look like?

At each session, the first half of the session consists of talking therapy with the client recalling what’s been good about their week. The second half of the session consists of trance work, which is very ordinary in many ways rather like daydreaming but clients find it all very beneficial  in reducing their anxiety, and stress.

The therapist will also provide as part of the work, a relaxation CD with instructions on use. This is a key part of the process and enhances the effect of the formal therapy sessions.
